PALMVIEW Residence

Bare Roots Design Studio undertook the design of a terrace house garden in the new Palmview estate of Harmony. To create a more involved outcome for this project, the residents opted to remove the landscape from their building contract and enlist our expertise.

 

The brief was unique, with the desire to create two separate themes for each yard. The back yard was to be sub-tropical, encompassing a simple design to suit the lives of the resident dogs. The contrasting brief for the front yard was to create a productive garden. With the client passionate about productive gardening, the front yard has almost 80% productive plants including fruiting shrubs for the front hedge.

 

Since the initial design and build, the team has also furthered the front yard design, with the inclusion of a raised vegetable patch and habitat plants for native bees.
